Navigating your own mental health doesn’t have to be scary or lonely
I’m Kathy and I am a Registered Nurse with more than 15 years of mental health experience. I work with adults who may be experiencing changes or struggles with their mental health for the first time.
“Everyone has a unique story”
When we are faced with a change to our life or our health, we are often at a loss for where to start. You might be feeling overwhelmed because you just moved away to university for the first time or burnt out from your first demanding job. You may be a new parent and you just don’t feel like yourself. Perhaps you just feel disconnected, and you aren’t sure why. You may have just learned of a new diagnosis and you have many questions.
I am here to listen and to support.
I am passionate about talking to people and hearing their stories. I believe that telling your story empowers you to recognize your strengths and resilience amidst life’s challenges. You might just need a sounding board or someone who listens and asks questions to help you discover what you truly need to thrive, or someone to help you reflect on who you are, what has changed, and what steps to take next.
I have a background in acute mental health and community health. I enjoy health teaching and providing resources wherever possible. My approach is to listen with empathy and gentle guidance to help uncover your needs.
Navigating your own mental health doesn’t have to be scary or lonely, and together we can build a ‘mental health toolkit’ to help you along your way.
